They who move predators from Parrish to Parrish in secret speak of damage from outside influences? Brass.

Consequently, policies which undermine the family threaten human dignity and the future of humanity itself,” he said.

But the belief that the majority of people who have ever lived are suffering, or will suffer, in the eternal fires of Hell is wonderful for human dignity and the future of humanity. //

Undermining the family? You mean like molesting children?

Also, sweaters for dogs threaten the future of humanity.

You forget that before he was pope, he ordered in writing for everyone to be silent on this scandal. This was before it went public, of course. It takes big ones to get caught protecting corrupt pedophiles in power, and then tell everyone else that deviating from the Ozzie and Harriet family model is bad.

Not to mention, these holier-than-thou crooks aren't even allowed to get married. What the hell do they know about whats good for families, aside from telling victims "shut-up or else go to hell"?

And deliberately shaming the children while you move their molester to another parish.

Sorry 'bout double-posting like some whack-job, but I just had another thought: Most religions do just fine without a single, central authority. Catholicism would be much better off without the vatican. Those power tripping, obscenely wealthy, inhumanly fanatical and irredeemably corrupt hypocrites give catholics a bad name. And if the catholics do take the trouble to throw off the papal chains, they should also collectively tell Bill Donahue to stick-it while they're at it.

Sorry for ranting like a wingnut. It just pisses me off that an entire religion would continue to treat as authority an organization which they know to be run by a cabal of true 'sinners.'

Maybe I'm coming down with Vatican Derangement Syndrome. At least thats one VD(S) I wouldn't mind having.

Catholicism is largely defined by the pope and the Vatican, though. Otherwise, it'd be more similar to Episcopalian.

No, being silent on kids being molested is a threat to the future of humanity.

In other news, the Pope reminded sailors about the dangers of reckless adventure, and how they might sail right off the face of the earth after navigating seas full of winged sea monsters. //

The time for heeding this kind of advice is long past. It's outdated, malicious, and only serves to reinforce the strong arming of the church on its followers. Time to STFU.
